Biography: Emily is an Oceanography Ph.D. candidate with an emphasis on fisheries. She wants to continue into a career in academia to research and teach about fisheries science and biology. A fun fact about her is that she has been to every continent except Africa, but she hopes to get there one day!

Biography: Emily is a Master’s student in the Rutgers Ecology and Evolution program studying how larval oyster swimming behavior affects habitat selection which leads to increased fitness. She wants to continue into a career in habitat conservation to protect our planet and the amazing biodiversity it holds. A fun fact about her is that she enjoys rock climbing!

Biography: Jeewantha was born in Sri Lanka and is a Master’s student in the Rutgers Ecology and Evolution program. He aspires to get his Ph.D. and lead the establishment of sustainable fisheries in South Asia. A fun fact about him is that he loves reading about Ancient Roman history!
